Notary
My mother is a notary public, therefore manages a lot of paperwork and indexes. So in my first years after leaving high school I tried to help developing this while learning PHP. With the years I backed it up with the powerful CodeIgniter to perform better, and everything went well ever since.
This webapps indexes all the 'escrituras' (which are propietary documents) and let her and her secretaties to search and locate the documents in case of need. It also generates reports that need to be presented to higher authorities and the central government, manages clients, manages financial states, and generates budget documents and automatic calculations for clients that ask for it.
I offered to add a billing system to automate it too, but she said she didn't need it. I just shrugged.
