Following Itapúa Timing, they were asked by their customers if there's a way to patrol or at least control athletes (mostly cyclist or runners) that don't follow a circuit but long paths. So the idea of an app to ask for help in case of accident or anything else were born.
They approached me to develop this phone app that is very simple yet very powerful for their opperations. The user would have this emergency app open so we can track their live position and in case of need the athlete would just have to push the button.
The emergency call would appear directly on the WordPress backend of the Itapúa Timing website, that also would need to be open to receive the call.
It is currently being distributed personally between athletes on the events because they don't want to have it on the app stores yet. I expect they will launch it in the future. Most of the users are from Android, but the app was developed with a hybrid mind.
