The Estudiantina is an event for teenagers to celebrate the spring day (colloquially called Student Day or Youth Day) with a parade and other activities like sports and dancing. The event is hold during the entire prior week to September 21st.
Since the comission that organize the event didn't want to spend a lot, it occured to me that we could just link their social media to a hotsite to share all its information, with a grunge and juvenile design, a lot of color and some music.
So I took advantage of the by-then-recent released APIs of Twitter and Facebook, and retrieved the latest posts from both profiles and stored it in a database, just in case the APIs didn't respond. On the last block there was a 'picture board', which retrieved the latest three or four photos from the event's Facebook profile. Of course, if you wanted to see more, you'd have to go to the Facebook page.
The organizing comission got disolved some years later, and this hotsite died with them.
