Choppfest

The region where I live is full of plenty immigrant communities, mostly europeans. One of the biggest is the German community, which every year holds the Choppfest. It is basically Oktoberfest but in November.

When they approached me to develop their digital presence on the Internet I decided to go with a vintage theme, kind of rustic vibe, with timber and old paper in mind. Very rustic and germanic. But keeping in mind that the star of the event was the beer.

This website had like 4 versions, but this one I liked the most. It was the second version of the website and encouraged me to solve stuff and work with technologies I've never touched before.

Under the hood, it started with a version of Brushito, my own brewed CMS that is also in this portfolio. I switched to WordPress in 2013 or 2014.
